TECH HIGHLIGHTS

ADVANCED SL COMPOSITE Professional-grade raw carbon material is woven in the Giant composite factory using the most advanced engineering and construction methods. Continuous fibre Technology adds strength and minimises weight.

TRUNCATED ELLIPSE TUBING Strategically engineered airfoil sections in the frame and fork, developed through CFD and windtunnel testing, improve aerodynamic efficiency, reducing wind drag at a wider range of yaw angles compared to traditional teardrop shaped tubes.

VARIANT INTEGRATED SEATPOST Specifically engineered for competitive road racers, Variant’s refined shape and integrated design result in a ride quality that perfectly balances compliance and efficiency.

CUTTING-EDGE COMPOSITE ASSEMBLY Up to 150 small individual composite swatches are placed using robotic layup. The swatches are laser-cut so that smaller, ultra-precise sections can be used, resulting in lighter weight framesets. Carbon Nanotube Technology resin improves impact resistance, and Fusion Process creates lighter, stronger frame junctions.

FULL COMPOSITE FORK Advanced SL-grade composite fork features a symmetric design and aero shaping, along with discbrake integration and increased clearance for tyres up to 32mm. This new design makes it lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic.

OVERDRIVE 2 The most advanced steerer tube technology in today’s Giant bikes. Designed to offer unprecedented front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/2” lower, 1 1/4” upper) and tapered steerer tube work in harmony to provide supreme steering stiffness.

MEGADRIVE A massive rectangular down tube forms the link between the OverDrive 2 head tube area and PowerCore bottom bracket. The precisely engineered shape yields unprecedented steering and pedalling stiffness while optimising aerodynamic flow over a standard water bottle.

POWERCORE The oversized bottom bracket area features a fully integrated 86.5mm wide design. Symmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the nondriveside.

DISC-BRAKE INTEGRATION The frame and fork are engineered with flat-mount disc-brake technology for powerful, consistent braking performance in all conditions.

★★★★★

Rob was fantastic to deal with. He spent time getting to know me so he could order the best bike for me. As soon as the bike arrive Rob did a thorough bike fit so I had a comfortable ride straight away. He was very knowledgeable and I will continue to shop and recommend Salters Cycles to others. Fantastic service. Thank you for all your help.

★★★★★

I've had all my servicing performed at the shop and happily bought my last bike through the shop ( which I love!).
The mechanics are awesome and have always helped out whenever I've had issues. When I broke a spoke and needed a wheel rebuild weeks before a big event the guys went out of their way to get me up and running again, the customer service was outstanding!
If you need a bike, this is the place.

Rob, Tim & Darren gave excellent value & exceptional service. My 12 year olds sons track racing & road racing bikes are now both running perfectly. Thank you for your prompt service & attention to detail.

Rob is so lovely and helpful. He pumped my tyres and also showed me how to do them myself. He also recommended a pump which I purchased and how to use it. I highly recommend Rob and his team.

Thank you Rob for pointing out the front wheel being installed improperly, avoiding a potential future bike injury and done for free.

Definitely a go to place for biking needs and fixes. They care for safe riding and your wellbeing on the roads.

There are bike shops and then there is Salter Cycles, the nicest bunch of knowledgeable blokes in the business, no wonder they have been going since 1990, thanks Rob and Tim for everything.

★★★★★

Had a new bike built recently by Tim at Salter Cycles which couldn't of been done better. All the components were assembled professionally and measurements set to a tee as per the bike fit data. Originally I had bought a HED wheelset here with great service throughout so when it came to a new frameset build the decision was a no brainer! The guys are passionate about riding and really know their stuff which made all the suggestions relevant. Also, thanks again Rob for recommending the frame colour, lovin it!

About Salter Cycles

Our Story

Salter Cycles began life in 1999 as a family business run by Geoff and Adrian Salter. Living and riding in the western suburbs we could see the growing need for a quality bike shop in the Altona, Altona Meadows, Laverton and Point Cook corridor. Both being life long cyclists and bike racers, our mission has always been to help our customers enjoy their bikes as much as we do.
