Ultegra now features an asymmetrical (directional) chain. Shifting precision and smoothness has been significantly improved through the use of different inner and outer plate chambers and dimensions to accommodate the different shifting requirements of moving the chain inward and outward on the drivetrain.

Our Story

Salter Cycles began life in 1999 as a family business run by Geoff and Adrian Salter. Living and riding in the western suburbs we could see the growing need for a quality bike shop in the Altona, Altona Meadows, Laverton and Point Cook corridor. Both being life long cyclists and bike racers, our mission has always been to help our customers enjoy their bikes as much as we do.
